Hours
The Old Fort is located on public park grounds. You can always wander around the grounds. However, the buildings are only open during events. There is a brochure available at the front gate with information about the history of the Old Fort. It explains how each building would have been used. Check here for a list of upcoming events. You can also view our Virtual Tour to learn more about the use of the grounds.
During the Summer the Fort will be open Tues. – Sat. from 10 – 6 and Sundays from noon – 6, with tours available.
Getting Here
We are located at 1201 Spy Run Avenue. The Old Fort is right over the Veterans Memorial Bridge as you head north from downtown on Spy Run Avenue.
Parking
Parking can be found in the following locations:
- At Headwaters Park. Use the pedestrian bridge to access the fort.
- In the lot across from the Old Fort on Spy Run Ave. (Please use extreme caution when crossing Spy Run Avenue.)
