The Old Fort is located on public park grounds. You can always wander around the grounds. However, the buildings are only open during events. There is a brochure available at the front gate with information about the history of the Old Fort. It explains how each building would have been used. Check here for a list of upcoming events. Getting Here
We are located at 1201 Spy Run Avenue. The Old Fort is right over the Veterans Memorial Bridge as you head north from downtown on Spy Run Avenue.
Parking
Parking can be found in the following locations:
- In the lot across from the Old Fort on Spy Run Ave. Please use the Rivergreenway Trail to access the fort. Follow the sidewalk south to the Veterans Memorial Bridge to find the trail. The trail goes under the bridge.
- In the lot on E 4th Street by Lawton Park. Use the Rivergreenway Trail at the east end of the parking lot to access the fort.
